Hoffenheim announced on its official website on Thursday that it had signed Nigeria international forward wonderkid Gift Orban from Lyon.
According to Hoffenheim's official statement, Orban has on signed a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. At the same time, he will also wear the No. 14 jersey which was vacated after Germany international forward wonderkid Maximilian Beier had left the club.

About Gift Orban
Gift Orban, who is only 22 years old, was born on July 17, 2002 in Benue State, Nigeria. He is 1.78 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as a right winger. He has dual nationalites of Nigeria and Togo.
Orban played for the youth academy of the local non-league club Bison FC in Nigeria. In November 2021, he joined the youth academy of Stabæk and completed his Stabæk first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a Norwegian Cup match at the end of May of the following year.
During his time at Stabæk, Orban led the club to promotion to the Norwegian Eliteserien with his high goalscoring efficiency, where he also won the Norwegian First Division Golden Boot Award and the Norwegian First Division Young Player of the Year.
On the 2023 winter transfer window transfer deadline day, Orban joined Gent for €5 million.
