Chris Wood extends Nottingham Forest contract until 2027

Premier League club Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Chris Wood has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay until the summer of 2027.

The 34-year-old Wood has played for many clubs, including Leicester City, Brighton, Newcastle United, etc. In January 2023, Wood was loaned to Nottingham Forest from Newcastle United. In June of the same year, Wood confirmed that he had joined Nottingham Forest.

Last season, Wood scored 14 goals for the team in the Premier League, which helped Nottingham Forest retain its Premier League spot and became Wood's highest personal goal in the Premier League.

However, Wood still performed well this season, making 23 appearances for Nottingham Forest, 21 of which were starts, contributing 14 goals and 2 assists. Wood played a vital role in the team's good form.

Everyone at Nottingham Forest congratulates Wood on signing his new contract. Regarding the extension, Wood said: "I am very excited and very happy to have completed this job. I look forward to the challenges of the next few years."

"When I arrived here I saw the ambition of the club. Speaking to the owner and his family I understood their goals and what they were planning for the future of the club. They have big dreams and big ambitions.

"I'm really excited for the future. This club has a lot of potential to continue to grow and build, and I hope to be a part of that. I can't thank the fans enough, they always support me and the team and it's a treat to play in front of them. Here's to the coming years."
