PGL officially announced on Sunday that the second CS2 Major will be held in Singapore in 2026. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 25 to December 13, 2026, with 32 teams competing for a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
According to the official schedule, the competition will be divided into three stages, with the final four days of elimination matches to be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, which can accommodate 12,000 people.
PGL has previously hosted numerous esports events in Singapore, including the 2019 FUT Championship Singapore and The International 2022. However, bringing the event to Singapore is still a milestone: it marks the first time a CS2 Major has been held in Southeast Asia. PGL CEO Silviu Stroy commented, "Bringing the first CS Major to Singapore is a truly exciting moment for us."
"This city has hosted some unforgettable esports events, and we can always feel the energy and passion of our fans. Returning to Singapore with the CS Major is a natural progression. Our goal is to host a grand event that lives up to the dedication and love of our players, while respecting the traditions and history of CS esports."
Ms. Wong, Assistant CEO of Experience Development at the Singapore Tourism Board, said, “Singapore has successfully hosted many exciting esports events, such as The International, the world’s largest DOTA 2 esports tournament. We are very much looking forward to hosting the first CS Major in 2026, which will further solidify Singapore’s position as a host city for major global events.”
She then added, "As one of the most prestigious tournaments in the CS world, this event is sure to attract fans from all over Southeast Asia. We also cordially invite them to fully experience Singapore's lifestyle and vibrant atmosphere while watching the competition."
