Liverpool officially announce the signing of Senegal U19s international defender wonderkid Mor Talla Ndiaye..

Liverpool announced on their official website on Monday that the club have signed Senegal U19s international defender wonderkid Mor Talla Ndiaye.

According to Liverpool's official statement, Ndiaye has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

Ndiaye will initially represent the U21s team, but can also play for the first-team if necessary. He becomes the first young player to join Liverpool directly from an overseas club since Brexit.

He is also the second young defender to join the Reds during this winter transfer window, following former Burnley player Noah Adekoya.

Furthermore, according to the Liverpool ECHO, the Premier League champions had already been closely monitoring Ndiaye since last year and decided to sign him immediately after sending scouts to observe his performance at the U17s World Cup, which concluded just two months ago.

It is reported that Liverpool even beat out several other clubs, including Red Bull Salzburg and Strasbourg, to successfully sign Ndiaye.

About Mor Talla Ndiaye

Ndiaye, who is only still 18-years-old, was born on January 6, 2008, in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. He is 1.88 meters tall and plays as a center-back.

Ndiaye joined the youth academy of a local Senegalese club, Amitié, at a young age. He gained significant attention in June 2025 when he made his debut for the Senegal U17s national team, helping them to a stunning 0-4 victory over Uruguay.

In November of the same year, Ndiaye represented Senegal at the U17s World Cup, helping the team reach the round of 32s.
