Chris Paul passes Jason Kidd for second place on NBA career steals list

Chris Paul currently ranks second in career steals and assists, behind John Stockton in both categories. Chris Paul completed his 2,685th career steal, surpassing Jason Kidd.

Chris Paul got his first steal of the night when he stole the ball from former Suns teammate Devin Booker with 5:24 left in the quarter, moving him up the rankings as the Spurs won the game 120-109.

This is the second time this season that Chris Paul has surpassed Jason Kidd to become the second in the NBA assists list. On December 8, Chris Paul sent out his 12,092nd career assist, surpassing Jason Kidd to become the second in the NBA assists list. John Stockton is the historical steals leader with a total of 3,265 steals, and this record may never be broken.

Chris Paul is one of 17 players in NBA history to average at least two steals per game in his career, and one of only six players to do so while playing in 1,000 games.
