Jota said he would work hard and strive to do his best

Portuguese winger Jota returned to Celtic in January this year after a sluggish time in Saudi Arabia and France. Now he is working hard to return to the top and is eager to reach new heights in the familiar Glasgow.

The 25-year-old former Benfica player has scored 4 goals in 12 games since returning from Rennes. Although he admitted that his physical condition had not yet recovered to its best when he first joined the team, he still quickly showed his threat and aura.

Before Celtic's away challenge to St. Johnstone on Sunday, Jota said in an interview: "I think I played well in the past few games. Although I know that my condition is not at its peak, everything is moving in a good direction."

"You can never predict your own limits, right? So I won't set a goal and stop there, maybe I can actually reach a higher level. I will just work hard day by day and strive to be the best version of myself."

Jota added: "There is always room for improvement. Winning titles and performing at a high level in the Champions League is the ultimate goal. But when you reach the top of a mountain, there is always a higher one to challenge. It's the same for me. I know where I want to go and what I want to achieve. This is what keeps me going."

Jota said that there is no secret to his ability to adapt quickly and regain his form: "Nothing is more important than playing in a game. Only in the game can you truly experience the rhythm, pressure and reactions on the field."
